Next meeting Jan. 22- 10:00 Family Focus

The meeting of the Evanston Minority Business Consortium
will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Family Focus.

The agenda will consist of a progress report on the 1740 Grey Avenue
project; the plan to secure more NSP2 business going forward; and
a status report on the Evanston Public Library.

Please bring your information so that you can be included in the
minority contractor database that will be used by the City of Evanston,
Northwestern University and other large companies in the area.

The Evanston Public Library Board is meeting on Wednesday at
6:00PM to discuss how to keep the South Branch open. As many
of our group as possible should attend 

Library Board Meeting-At Main Branch-6:30 Wed. 19th

The Library Board Meeting at Evanston Public Library, on Davis and Orrington, will start at 6:30. Public comment is at the beginning. Now is the time to let the board know that you care and want a place in the neighborhood for a library outpost.

MLK Community Peace Pledge Day - Jan. 17

Next Meeting Jan 22nd-

There will be no meeting  January 15, 2011 because of Dr. King's Birthday.

The next meeting is Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:00AM
at Family Focus.

We will get progress reports on:
 1. Communication with Brinshore  
 2. A briefing on the Section 3 applications 
 3. The status of the 1740 Grey Avenue project
 4. Report on the Consortium contractor database

The other items are the election of an Asst. Treasurer and a discussion about the Lonnie Wilson Initiative to take 
political action. A copy of the recommendations of the architect, Charles Smith,
Robin Rue, President
Bennett Johnson, Asst. Secretary
