Our primary mission is to obtain work for our tradesmen & tradeswomen, professionals & laborers Our people–our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, neighbors and friends
EBBA is a group of like-minded minority contractors from Evanston. We have banded together to help ourselves gain some of the work contracts that will be given out by the City of Evanston and their partner, Brinshore Development LLC.
We are a group of licensed, bonded and insured contractors who live or work out of Evanston. We are carpenters, masons, heating and cooling contractors, plumbers and electricians. We also do drywalls, painting and roofing. We cover all the building trades.
We have opened up our umbrella to gain a place at the project table for our local realtors, architects, title companies and attorneys.
We are advocating for Evanston businesses to gain financially from the work that is to be done here. Our view is that at least fifty percent (50%) of the contract monies being spent by the City and Brinshore be spent with people who live and work here. And particularly, those funds should be spent with minority tradespersons and professionals, because the majority of the work to be done will be in the fifth ward, which is primarily minority owned.
Our primary mission in this endeavor is to obtain work for our people: tradesmen and tradeswomen, professionals and laborers—Our people – our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, neighbors and friends
